About this Tour

We will pick you up at your hotel in Juan Dolio, Boca Chica or Grand Bahia Principe La Romana and your first stop will take you to the "The Three Eyes" (Cueva de los Tres Ojos) which is a collapsed cave featuring three amazing lagoons located on the outskirts of Santo Domingo. It was formed centuries ago when some underground caves collapsed, forming a bowl-?shaped depression.

You will then enjoy panoramic views of the Columbus Lighthouse, built in 1992 on the site of Admiral Christopher Columbus’ remains.

Our tour guide will then take you to the colonial zone which is was declared World Heritage by the UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization). History is found all throughout this centuries-?old capital city.

The Colonial Zone was founded back in 1498. In this section of the city you will visit the oldest cathedral in America. You will also enter the National Pantheon,a museum with the tombs of great important figures of Dominican history which names are engraved in marble. You can also enjoy a nice walk with your tour guide through "Calle Las Damas" which is the oldest street in the Americas.

Overall guest satisfaction

We had this tour and it was amazing. I was with a friend and we had a private tour just for the two of us. The service was excellent and the tour guide was patient and knew the area and the places of interest very well. I recommend the tour very strongly.
